If you post the same paragraph to thirty Facebook groups, Facebook notices. So do group admins. Spintax is the fastest way to write once and still send unique copy everywhere. You build one template with interchangeable word blocks, and each group gets a slightly different version.
We use spintax on almost every MaherPost campaign. It is not a hack. It is basic hygiene for anyone posting to more than a handful of groups.

Spintax uses curly braces and pipe separators:
{Hi|Hello|Hey} {everyone|folks|friends}. I'm {sharing|posting about} a {free|complimentary} workshop on {Tuesday|Wednesday} for {local|area} business owners.
Each publish picks one option per block. Group A might get “Hi everyone. I’m sharing a free workshop on Tuesday for local business owners.” Group B gets “Hey folks. I’m posting about a complimentary workshop on Wednesday for area business owners.”
Same offer. Different fingerprint.
Learn the term in our spintax glossary. Generate templates with the spintax generator tool.
Meta compares text similarity across your recent posts. Operators who paste the same listing, promo, or affiliate offer into dozens of groups trigger automated review. Restrictions often start as temporary group posting blocks.
Variation alone does not guarantee safety. Fast velocity and link spam still hurt. But identical copy at scale is the easiest problem to fix. Spintax fixes it without writing thirty separate posts by hand.
Combine spintax with:
Read post to multiple groups without a ban for the full safety stack.
Greeting and sign-off rotation. Low effort, measurable variation.
{Thanks|Cheers|Appreciate you reading}. {Sarah|Sarah M.|Sarah from Acme Coaching}
Synonym swaps for verbs and adjectives.
We're `{excited|thrilled|happy}` to `{announce|share|introduce}` our `{new|latest|updated}` `{menu|seasonal menu|fall menu}`.
Bullet order shuffling (manual or spintax blocks per bullet).
{• Fast turnaround|• Licensed and insured|• Free estimates}
Location micro-variation for multi-city operators.
Serving `{Austin|Round Rock|Cedar Park}` and `{surrounding areas|nearby communities|the greater metro}`.
Avoid spintax that produces nonsense. Read five random outputs aloud before scheduling. Awkward grammar gets reported by members, not just flagged by Meta.
| Approach | Best for | Risk |
|---|---|---|
| Spintax | Predictable offers, legal copy, listings | Too few blocks = still similar |
| AI rewrite | Long-form value posts, story tone | Occasional off-brand drift |
| Both combined | High-volume promo + educational mix | Lowest duplicate risk |
MaherPost can generate spintax variations from a base paragraph. Start with spintax for structured promos. Use AI for weekly value posts where tone matters more.
Deep dive: unique copy at scale.
Rule of thumb: at least as many unique outputs as groups in the campaign, with headroom.
Ten groups? Aim for fifteen-plus distinct combinations. Fifty groups? Use nested spintax blocks or AI pass on top of spintax.
MaherPost preview shows sample outputs before publish. If two samples look too close, add another block.
One block only. {Hi|Hello} on a 200-word identical body does not help.
Banned words in every variant. If all paths include “DM me for crypto,” admins remove you regardless of spintax.
Link in body when groups require first comment. Spintax the text, put the URL in a first comment.
Running spintax without delays. Unique text at bot speed still looks automated.
Some groups require genuinely custom context: referencing local events, admin names, or community inside jokes. For your top ten highest-value groups, write manual posts. Spintax the long tail.
Real estate agents might handcraft posts for hyperlocal neighborhood groups and spintax city-wide buyer groups. See Facebook group posting for local business.
Test spintax on 5 groups before scaling. Watch delivery success for a week. Expand blocks if rejection rate climbs.
