Getting started
What is MaherPost?
MaherPost is a Facebook group poster. It publishes your posts to groups you have already joined, through a Chrome extension running in your own logged-in browser. It also includes scheduling, spintax, Account Health and Lead Radar in one $29 a month plan.
How do I start posting to Facebook groups with MaherPost?
Create a MaherPost account, install the Chrome extension, and make sure you are logged in to Facebook in that browser. Load the groups you have joined, save them into a bundle, and write your first campaign in the composer. If your profile is new or has been quiet, turn on warmup mode before the first run.
Do I need a Facebook Page or business account to use MaherPost?
No. MaherPost posts as your personal profile into groups where you are a member. You need Chrome, the MaherPost extension, and a Facebook profile that has joined the groups you want to post in.
Can MaherPost post to groups I have not joined?
No. MaherPost only posts to groups your profile has already joined, the same groups you could post to by hand. It does not join groups for you.
Does MaherPost need my Facebook password?
No. The Chrome extension works inside the browser session where you are already logged in to Facebook. You never give your Facebook password to MaherPost.
What is a group bundle?
A group bundle is a saved set of groups, such as "Metro buyers" for a realtor or one bundle per client for an agency. You pick a bundle when you build a campaign instead of ticking groups one at a time.
What should I do before my first campaign?
Read the rules of each group and drop the ones that ban promotions. Turn on warmup mode if the profile is new or has not posted in groups for a while. Add some spintax so every group does not get identical text, and check the Account Health score before you publish.
Who uses MaherPost?
Realtors posting listings to metro groups, local businesses like dentists running a monthly promo, home services companies with seasonal offers, coaches, online stores and agencies managing several clients. The common thread is that their customers are in Facebook groups.
Safety and account risk
Is it safe to use a Facebook auto poster?
Any group posting carries some risk, whether you do it by hand or with a tool, and no tool can guarantee an account will never be restricted. MaherPost lowers the obvious risks with randomized delays, daily caps, warmup mode, spintax and an Account Health score that warns you before you publish. How you use it still matters most.
Can MaherPost guarantee my Facebook account will not be restricted?
No, and you should be wary of any tool that claims it can. Meta decides what gets restricted. MaherPost gives you pacing controls, warnings and automatic pausing so you can avoid the patterns that most often cause trouble.
What is the Account Health score?
Account Health is a 0 to 100 score MaherPost calculates for a campaign before you publish it. It checks posting pace, how much your copy varies between groups, and your recent rejections. If the score is low, it tells you why so you can fix it first.
What is warmup mode?
Warmup mode is for new or quiet Facebook profiles. It ramps posting volume up over several days instead of letting the account jump straight to a full bundle. Use it on a new profile, after a long break, or after a restriction.
How many Facebook groups can I post to per day safely?
There is no single safe number, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. It depends on the age and history of your profile, how varied your copy is and how the groups respond. Start low with warmup mode, set a daily cap, and let the Account Health score and delivery log tell you when to raise it.
Does MaherPost post with delays between groups?
Yes. MaherPost waits a randomized amount of time between groups so posts do not go out in a burst. You also set a daily cap, and the campaign stops once it reaches that number.
What happens if posts start failing during a campaign?
MaherPost pauses the campaign automatically when failures stack up. You can then read the delivery log, see the reasons, and decide whether to change settings or drop groups before resuming.
Does spintax help avoid restrictions?
Identical text posted to many groups is a common warning sign, and spintax gives each group its own version. Copy variation is one of the things Account Health checks. It helps, but it is not a guarantee, and it does not make an off-topic promo acceptable to group admins.
Features
How many groups and posts does MaherPost allow?
There is no plan limit on groups or posts. You can post to any group your profile has joined. The daily cap you set and your pacing settings decide how many groups a campaign reaches each day.
Can MaherPost post photos, videos and links?
Yes. Campaigns support photo posts, video posts and link posts. Files live in the media library so you can reuse them across campaigns.
How does spintax work in MaherPost?
You write alternatives inside braces, like {Hi|Hey} neighbors, and you can nest blocks inside other blocks. MaherPost resolves the alternatives separately for each group when the post is delivered. A per-group preview shows exactly what each group will get before you publish.
Does MaherPost write post copy with AI?
Yes. AI copy writes a draft from a short brief and produces variations of your text. You edit the result and can fold the variations into spintax so each group gets a different version.
Can I put my link in the first comment instead of the post?
Yes. For groups that ban links in the post body, MaherPost can publish the post and add the link as the first comment. Spintax works in the comment text too.
Can I schedule recurring Facebook group posts?
Yes. Campaigns can run once at a set time or repeat on a schedule, such as a dentist's monthly cleaning promo. Save the setup as a playbook to reuse it later. Chrome must be open when a scheduled campaign is due.
What is Lead Radar?
Lead Radar scans the feed of groups you have joined for buying-intent phrases you choose, like "can anyone recommend an HVAC company". It surfaces the matching posts and drafts a reply for each one. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
Can MaherPost post my RSS feed to Facebook groups?
Yes. Connect an RSS feed and choose a group bundle, and new items become group posts. Auto AI posting can write the copy from each item, and your delays and daily caps still apply.
How do I see which groups my post went to?
The live delivery log marks each group as posted, pending admin approval, rejected, or skipped with a reason. Insights per group show each group's track record across campaigns, and you can export the data to CSV.

How do I cancel MaherPost?
Cancel anytime from your dashboard. There is no contract and no need to email anyone to cancel.
What is the MaherPost refund policy?

Is Lead Radar included in the price?
Yes. Lead Radar is part of the same $29 a month plan as bulk posting. There is no separate charge for it.
Does MaherPost charge per group or per post?
No. The price is $29 a month regardless of how many groups or posts you use. Groups and posts are unlimited on the plan.
Agencies and resellers
Can an agency manage multiple clients in MaherPost?
Yes. Agencies keep each client's groups in separate bundles, run campaigns per client, and send each client their own report. That keeps one client's groups and results from mixing with another's.
What do MaherPost client reports include?
Client reports show deliveries, rejections and Lead Radar matches for that client's campaigns. You can export a report or schedule it to go out by email.
Can I send client reports automatically by email?
Yes. Reports can be scheduled to go out by email. Clients hear from you regularly without you building each update by hand.
Does MaherPost offer a white label program?
Yes. Resellers can offer Facebook group posting under their own brand through the white label program. It has a setup fee plus a monthly platform fee, and you contact MaherPost for pricing.
How long does white label setup take?
White label setup takes 5 to 7 business days. Contact MaherPost for pricing and to get started.
How should an agency report rejected group posts to a client?
Show them, with the reason and the fix. The delivery log gives the reason for each rejection or skip, such as a group that bans links in posts. Clients trust a report that explains a rejection more than one that leaves it out.
Can agencies use Lead Radar for clients?
Yes. Set up a keyword set per client, such as buying phrases for an HVAC client or a dental client, and review the matches with drafted replies. Radar matches can also go into that client's report.
Technical
Why does MaherPost use a Chrome extension instead of the Facebook API?
Meta removed group publishing from the Graph API in April 2024, so API-based tools cannot post to groups you have joined. MaherPost posts through a Chrome extension in your own logged-in browser session. It does not use the Graph API.
Can Buffer, Hootsuite or Later post to Facebook groups?
Not to groups you have joined. They rely on the Graph API, which lost group publishing in April 2024. They are still good tools for Facebook Pages and Instagram, and many people use one of them for Pages alongside MaherPost for groups.
Does Chrome need to stay open while MaherPost posts?
Yes. Campaigns run through the extension in your browser, so Chrome must be open while a campaign runs. If Chrome is closed when a scheduled campaign is due, posts will not go out until it is open again.
Can MaherPost post while my computer is off?
No. Posting happens in your own Chrome browser, so the computer has to be on and Chrome open while a campaign runs.
Is MaherPost affiliated with Meta or Facebook?
No. MaherPost is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta. It posts as your own profile, through your own browser, into groups you have joined.
Can I export my posting data?
Yes. Delivery data can be exported to CSV. Agencies can also export client reports or schedule them by email.
How do I contact MaherPost support?
Email support@maherpost.com. Support replies within one business day.
What does pending mean in the delivery log?
Pending means the group holds posts for admin approval and yours is waiting in that queue. It has not reached members yet. The status changes once an admin approves or rejects it.
